C’mon Man!

Lately one of the NFL telecasts on Sunday has a segment they call “C’mon Man”

It’s usually commentary, video of unbelievable stuff, stuff that just makes you scratch your head.  I just wish to say the same thing to Jeep and their commercials about the new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I’m sure some use it off road, they might actually care about the steel skid plate. And the fact that the wheels are closer together and it can climb higher. But for a lot of us, the most climbing I do is over a curb and in the grass at the ballpark when there are no more parking spaces. So…

C’mon Man! Just make a door handle that will last, after all I use it every day! Design the pivot point out of metal. Or at least make a reasonable replacement. You could have used stamped metal just like where the door pull screws to. Not that hard. I’m not an engineer, but the U-shaped bracket I designed would be better than cheap plastic molded into an entire door panel. I realize your design looks great… at least for a while. But then the cracks, and crumbling start.

Maybe the door handle has been updated since 2005. I hope so. Maybe it was just a bad batch of plastic. Who knows for sure, except maybe Jeep. If it was defective, then TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS! They won’t forget. Don’t take care of them, and they won’t forget that either.

All the millions you’re spending on those cheesy commercials, could have been used to take care of your current and soon to be repeat customers.  But I can say one thing, those commercials will not make me want to buy a new Jeep

Find all the other problems that happen continuously on the previous models and engineer it better. If you do, you’ll have dedicated customers that will buy again and again.  Or keep crap coming and go bankrupt. Your choice. Because I don’t think there will be any more bail outs any time soon.
